I live in San Francisco with my husband, two teenage sons, two dogs, one senior cat and a goldfish. When I’m not out with my camera, being with my family is my favorite thing to do.
I grew up watching my father’s photography hobby bloom into one of his most passionate pursuits. When I picked up my first camera, I didn’t think I shared his creative essence. But from that first click of the shutter I have embraced the art of photography and it fills me with joy every single day.
Pursuing photography means daily vulnerability because the learning never ends. I endeavor to work from my heart for you and to deliver timeless memories that will have meaning for you for years to come.
My husband and two sons are my whole world. They bring meaning to everything that I do. And they are endlessly patient with me and my camera.
During our very extended covid-19 lockdown, I decided to conduct a search for platform Mary Jane shoes. I had loved them years ago and was thrilled to find a store in London that sold beautiful varieties! So I bought a few too many and gave them their very own photo session.
If I could eat Nutella all day long I would. And that is why it is rarely in my kitchen cabinet nowadays. That doesn’t stop me from owning the world’s largest collection of Nutella infused recipes!
I wasn't sure what to expect but Luci helped me prepare by offering suggestions before hand. During the shoot she used creative angles and ideas and provided guidance all with a relaxed and light hearted attitude. I love how the photos came out. They exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Luci!"
She kept us laughing as she changed our positions and poses to capture the best of our family."
She made it very easy to work with her to get a series of high quality shots that came out better than I could have imagined, and in a very impressive turnaround time! I would definitely recommend Luci to any of my friends and can see myself returning to work with her again in the future!"
I love how she captures mood and personality in her subjects. Her versatility means that she can get action shots, candid shots, portraits, moody/artistic shots, and professional headshots. She is also a delight to work with! She provides clear and helpful directions on how to pose for that great shot!"
She makes you feel comfortable when maybe getting your photo taken isn’t your favorite way to spend your time...She captures something special about you through her lens that you may not have seen in yourself before. Is it magic? Great timing? Who knows! In the end, my photos came out beautiful and I thank her immensely for that."
From the Flowers In Studio Collection. I brought flowers into my photography studio during the darkest days of the pandemic. At a time when I knew people would not be able to visit the studio, flowers helped me to stay in practice and explore the art of photography. It started out as an intention to spend the weekend photographing peonies and grew into a passion that lasted the entire pandemic and continues to this day. This is the first flower that sat in the spotlight for me.
Taken from up high on Twin Peaks in San Francisco. The astonishing clouds were what first drew me to take this photograph. They loomed over our iconic skyline in such an eerily beautiful way on this late afternoon.
The greens of this scene caught my attention first. Old and discarded, they awaited their next phase at the garbage dump. They were used for years at our local summer festivals. I thought about all of the people who took a rest on them as I paid tribute to their service through the lens. I like to think that they live on in happy retirement.
I found this winding palm tree during a roam through a jungle in Mexico. Its gentle twist on the way to the top felt like a playful invitation to climb it.
